Channel Order

Postby Micromecca_UK » Wed Jun 02, 2010 2:49 pm

I have recently started using DVBDream > DVBLink > Win 7 x64 Media Center after being let down over and over by TV source (it would just stop clearing channel unexpectedly) and I'm VERY impressed with channel change times and decryption clearence whilst using Bridge, THANK YOU for creating this solution, however....

I have one small problem that is getting the channels in the correct order, I have tried changing the Channel Number as well as many other options in each channel property via DVBDream for every channel and then 're-sychronising' the channels into MC, no matter what I try the channels are not in the order I desire or I receive the error 'No TV Signal' after changing any channel number options in either DVBDream or MC, please advise how to setup the channels in my prefered order.

regards

If you get a "no tv signal" after you've been playing with your channels, I advice you to stop the DVBLink service and DVBDream concurently for a few seconds. You can restart them in any order.

About channel order, I am no sure to understand what you are trying to do. Are you talking about changing the channel order in the Media Center guide?

yes exactly Fred, if I change the channel number in media center after the sync, then I get 'No TV Signal' on those channels

I would prefer to change them in DVBDream before the import if at all possible ??

When you say you want to change the order in the guide... you do that by changing the channel number in the guide?

Yes Fred, I need to have them in the same order as the Sky UK lineup, I have tried changing them in DVBDream before export and also in Media Center afterwards, both methods yield the same results.

Are you in Europe or North America?

I will make a test with my setup and see if I can reproduce.

Hey Fred, Problem solved mate, I just updated to DVBDream 1.5c and now it allows me to change the channel number in Media Center with no side effects.

Will the new version be ready soon? as I would rather wait for it to purchase than upgrading?

Glad you got it sorted out :)

The new version will have free license upgrade. Do not worry, buy when you feel ready.
