These are IR codes that work for Pace RNG-1xx boxes being rolled out by Comcast on the East Coast of US. They also will work with generic Motorola boxes like DCT62xx, DCH70, etc. I don't have the separator or prefix codes, but for what it's worth, the separator (i.e. the period for x.x clear QAM channels) button on the MCE remote works OOB.

Where do you place the IR Blasters on the QIP7100?

for the QIP 7100 you put the Ir blaster on the right side of the display just above were it says remote

I have seen a lot of people having problems getting the MCE IR to learn commands after some trial and error I found that it mostly come down to what the learn timeout is set to before teaching new commands. For my QIP 7100 FIOS box changing from the default 10 to 86 worked perfectly. Although I can not remember the model number for a friends comcast box the changing the timeout to 84 worked great for him. I hope this will help will peoples problems learning MCE IR codes
