Unable To Save Settings

Postby Phillyjaq » Mon Jun 22, 2009 10:12 pm

I have been testing DVBLink since beta 1 without major issue. I downloaded Version 1.0 last night and tried to upgrade. When I tried to configure my source every time I clicked Apply I received a message, Unable to Save Settings. I didn't mess around with it too much since I was planning on wiping my system and doing a rebuild anyway.
I rebuilt the system today Windows 7 RC with the release version of DVBLink for HDPVR and I am getting the same message. Nothing else is installed at this point.
Help! If I don't get this fixed soon my wife is going to be less than happy...

WAF is a major concern for us as well. Can you please send me a screen shot of the message box?

I get this too... just a box that says "Error" as the title and "Unable to save your settings" as the message. There's a button to hit "OK".

I have released version 1.0.1 which should fix the problem. Download the file from the announcement post.

the 1.01 update fixed the unable to save changes problem - but for me I still get the Failed to Change channel message when I go to live tv.

Please post the relevant part of your HDPVRBridge.log showing log entries at the time this occurs.

yup - my stupidness - wasting hours over here - and i had my HDPVR set for SPDIF instead of line out -- duh!!

but psyched again - hoping this is the final stable for me

btw - this is what hauppauge told me to try to stop the HDPVR from shutting off - and so far so good

In many cases this occurs if the latency on the usb bus becomes to great this is typically caused by other devices using the bus. Try moving the hd-pvr to its own controller and see if the issue goes away.

Nice to know that... It seems to confirm a suspicion we had about the USB bandwidth/latency. It is just weird that the HD PVR and the driver cannot recover from this by themselves.
