How to Improve HD Recording Quality

I managed to get everything loaded and working well. However, I have noticed that recorded HD content has atrifacts which are particularly noticable when there is movement. I have the Hauppage H264 Encoder set to 13.5 Mdps which is best quality. I am using all the cables supplied to HD PVR. Are there any suggestions how to improve the quality of recorded HD content?

Are you sure those artifacts are introduced by HDPVR? Maybe they're already there in your source. You should check that first.
